This site is about helping people who want to look and feel good without having to go to the Gym, pump iron, do excessive repetitions of any particular exercise or having to hold extreme stretches for an inordinate length of time. And this whilst not having to stint on the other pleasures of life, like eating and drinking for example.
I don't want you to stop, or even feel that you should stop, doing anything that you enjoy. Providing that it is legal and you don't do it to excess of course!
Ok. Let me tell you where I am coming from, where I am now, and what's in it for you!

That's me (Phil) aged 64. And this is what happened a few months before.
A little while ago an injury to my wrist caused me to reduce and change my fitness routine. The result? - within a month my belt had gone in a notch and within another month yet another notch - and more since but not quite the next notch - a total of around 3.5 inches. Now if you don't think that is a lot a) you try it! and b) think of all that was going on above belt level in my case (a lot!) and the amount of flab that came off there.

Where am I now?... if you have looked at the "gory details" mentioned above, you will see what I am doing and why I am doing it. I am just putting the finishing touches on a course - a movement and control course that will be easy to integrate into your life - a course that requires no special apparatus or requires you to go anywhere - a course that will impose no special restrictions on your lifestyle, diet, social activity or anything.
A fitness course that will not bore you to tears by having to spend hours on it, or by having to do endless repetitions or by having to hold stretched (or even overstretched) positions. But a course that will produce results!
What's in it for you?... well, if you are one of those people, like me, that really do want to just look and feel good while carrying on a sociable lifestyle - who don't want to get hung up on the more intense and demanding side of the "keep fit" arena, then the answer is one helluva lot!
But right now, to finish this off, and to make sure I get it exactly right for you, I need your help!
You might reasonably ask - "If it worked for him, why can't he just get on with it and give us the exercises?" Well, that is a very reasonable point of view, but when I started on these movements, I did it all from memory and pretty instinctively. At that time I had no thoughts about providing it to others.
It was only after the results (which I hadn't really expected - I just wanted to feel good about myself) and some research into the origins of the movements, together with the feeling that the "fitness non fanatic" - to coin a phrase - was not adequately catered for that decided me to progress down the route of producing a course which could benefit everyone.
And that is when I realised that it is one thing to "just do it" for yourself. But it is another to explain how to a vast range of people who are all different. Men and women, different genetically, different emotionally, different reasons for wanting to be fit/look good etc., varying availablity of time, different expectations as to the amount of effort involved, different starting levels of fitness and self esteem and so on -
So, I would appreciate your help. I have produced a small questionnaire of things that I would like some feedback on. But if you don't want to do that, please, by all means just send me a message with your views. Anybody who helps, will be rewarded in some way. Sorry to be vague, I just haven't yet quite worked out what that will be. I will certainly be giving away some free enrolments to some and discounts for others for the course to everyone who registers their interest in advance.
Why am I doing this? - Well, it worked for me and it can work for you. I have just got to get on with documenting everything so my explanation of principles and activities make sense to you!
I don't want to put off any of you that are already into fitness in any way, whether it be running, swimming, weights, gym stuff, yoga, pilates - anything. In fact you have a lot to offer some of the other people around this site.
